Hi guys i just want your thoughts on this for the past 2 weeks now i notice that when i am driving the engine sounds very loud inside the car ..it has been noticed by other ppl in the car with me as well ..could you give me some hints as to what it might be . could it be a hole in the exhaust that's what first came to my mind.. My thoughts would be either oil change, air filter change, or worst case scenario the Exhaust...

Are you experiencing any change in power output? Has the car become sluggish? I imagine with a hole in the exhaust the power output must be affected, but I don't know for certain.

hi guys thanks for your responses its the engine noise which sounds louder ..output seems to be the same and when outside i don't really hear the exhaust grunting anymore loudly...i might check the air filter its been 9 months since i changed it, its certainly not a clattering noise !
When was the oil changed? I ***ume you've checked it? Don't laugh I had a mate with a Hyundai Accent who asked me what I thought a noise was - it sounded awful and I jokingly said "it sounds like there's no oil in it...." blank look on his face........... Dipstick was bone dry!!! Still lived for a further 2 years that car.
