Oil Sump/Pan

Hi folks,

Looking for a new oil pan and the near £300 price tag is bit hefty for a Honda original item.

Has anyone had to replace theirs yet? and if so did you go for a Honda version or did you source a non Honda one from somewhere (I'm not having much luck finding to be fair).

Why are you changing yours? If there is oil leaking from that region then most likely the sump gasket needs changing only, which is like a tenner or so.

Thanks for reply .... i'm afraid it's the sump itself which is leaking and very heavily corroded across the bottom suface:-( It was mentioned in the last MOT and whilst it wasn't too bad at that point it's very quickly going down hill.

I wish it were just the gasket, that certainly wouldn't hurt the pocket as much.

So you would hope they make 3rd party ones for the Accord too, I would phone up EuroCarparts, GSF Parts and Mister Auto and see if they do any non cataloged oil pan for the 6th gen.
