Hi people, couple of questions regarding the pressure relief valves;
Firstly, does anybody know if they are set to different pressure thresholds for different vehicles?
Secondly, is it normal for diesel to be coming out of the return on the fuel rail when the engine is running?
The reason I ask is because I have low fuel pressure errors when WOT, the pressure relief valve I have is from a Renault van, I am wondering if it is set to a lower pressure than that for an Accord, as the car drives fine until you plant the pedal. The part numbers on my valve read as BOSCH 02-10-01 125 F741 087.

Things I have tried so far are,
Replace fuel filter for Honda item,
Tested HP pump,
Leak off test on injectors,
Replaced injector,
Recoded injectors,
Removed ALL fuel lines both low and high pressure and blown through,
Bled system several times,
Tested and cleaned fuel pressure regulator,
Cleaned fuel pressure sensor.

Only thing I am left with is this relief valve from a Renault. Are they the same or not?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Chris.

Fuel should not come through the fuel rail pressure relief valve during normal conditions. (so not out of the metal 'stub' pipe when the flex pipe is romoved from it (but fuel will come from the flexible pipe, so it should be plugged when doing this test). But I haven't got a clue whether a Renault valve might be OK or not... the Honda fuel rail should reach 1600Bar max, so if the Renault system has the same maximum figure then I guess there would be a chance they might be interchangeable?

The simple answer is yes. Different makes/models can have different maximum pressures, some lower than the Honda and some higher. It all depends on the fuel system fitted and the paramaters the manufacturer has used.

Hi Chris, my advice would be to give Bosch a call tomorrow and ask the question..

Took a quick video with the car idling with a clear hose connected the to over pressure fuel return. You can clearly see diesel flowing into the tube.
Normal or not?

Hopefully problem solved!

Haha I'm feeling so happy with hope right now! Lol Fahad knows the stress I've had with this problem. Thanks to you both. Fingers crossed

Yep, defective valve. An opportunity to get the correct valve for the Honda I-CDTI?
