P1384 - BMW Knock Sensor 3 Circuit

Good evening all,

As the ***le says, I got this code on the way home from work...

Only thing I have done, is change my interior lights to LEDs... but... I bought 4 festoon bulbs, but only 2 of them worked... so I thought... I'll leave the back passenger light out of the socket, so when I get a new one, I can just fit it straight away, but foolishly, I hadn't realised I left the back passenger light switched 'on' all afternoon, but there was no bulb there..

Can this upset the engine? as at the time I didn't know what was causing it, I was limited to 2k rpm.

I put the originaly halogen bulb back in, and cleared the code using my phone, and now the car is back to normal, no lights, I can go to any rev I like, and its running like normal?

This error is on a BMW? i don't understand.

P1384 on a diesel Honda means Glow plug or glow plug relay. It's normally one of the plugs, and you need to replace with genuine Honda plugs.

That's what my phone said haha, I was baffled too.

I put the original festoon bulb back in, cleared the code on my phone, and it hasn't come back on since haha.

It does seem that if you leave bulbs out of their holders, the car gets upset.
