Hi all

Just purchased my first Honda. Nice car but I've noticed that when driving straight or turning right there is quite an audible noise from the car. Can't tell precisely where its coming from but when I turn left it goes away. At first I thought it was just because my engine was cold but turning left it purrs very quietly. It's like a rattle of sorts if that helps any. Thanks in advance.

Welcome to TA Paul this could be anything TBO.
Paul to give us a better ideal can you make a video of the sound.

Hi Brett. I'll give it a go and post later.
Nice one as i said it might be 1 of 10 things hear is is list to give you an idea.
1/ binding brake calliper
2/ bushes or ball joints
3/ drive shaft
4/ power steering fluid needs changing if dark brown

Well the recording didn't pick it up. It's improves as the engine warms but doesn't disappear completely. Thanks for the help. I'll have my local check it over.

Does it when turning the wheel whilst stationery or only whilst the car is moving? I would also say binding caliper.

Yep, only when moving which is why I had trouble recording the noise.
Ok, thanks I'll have that checked too.

Paul next time you put your hand brake on check for noise when you take of sounds like has been mentioned above Binding caliper
