Rear abs sensor - USA

Hi

Can I ask for help

diagnosis - rear right abs sensor is faulty
the problem is that I cant find any used ones on ebay.uk and I found some on ebay USA
is it Accura ? what Accura

Has somebody bought the abs sensors from USA?

Honda Accord
2.0 Vtec 2004 sport Sedan
 
Hi! I just bought mine from the USA... Rear right as well. Going to get it fitted today/tomorrow.

It's the Acura TSX 04-08 model you need me thinks. That's the one I got anyway.. And I was told by Fahad that this was the correct one as he had also bought his from the USA.

Its the 1st gen Acura TSX for your car and as Sibby said with the year.
Be very careful though as the your car is a 2L and the Acura TSX is a 2.4 or 3L V6.
Im not 100% if there different abs sensors

I will do! My mechanic is really busy atm... He said he'll have to delay me for a few days. But as soon as I fit it I shall be sure to let you know :)

Unfortunately, the ABS Sensor which was sent to me was wrong! The guy sent me a front left (or right? Forgot!) Abs sensor. However, the right part is already on its way. So if you still want, I'll update when it eventually comes through (2/3 weeks I've been told :( )

Ps. The Abs sensor was the right one for the front, so I ***ume that the rear ones will most definitely fit. :)

hi, thanks for an update . 2, 3 weeks - long time
yes I still look for the sensor. I found something in Poland - 60 pounds for the new replacement part but not the original one
how much are you going to pay for that including shipment ?
 
Sorry about the delay. Was really busy with exams and all.
In total I'm paying around £50 including postage ($75). I think non oem parts should be fine... But don't quote me. I'm sure the other guys here can give you more details of that. Just search ebay USA for an Acura TSX rear right abs sensor... If I come across any I'll pm you.

Hello! I actually only received the sensor 2 days ago and got it fitted yesterday. All is well and it works fine with the car. Traction control is working again :)
 
Sibby - that's great, did you get the bulb replaced in the dash so you can actually see it?

I haven't come round to do that yet.. But the cheeky git actually placed a tape over it and never removed the bulb. When I press the VSA off button, I could see a very dim light that shines down on to the cruise control light. And I would prefer taking the clocks out myself instead of paying someone just to remove some tape. So any directions on how to remove it would be grateful as I'm completely useless when it comes to figuring things like this out lol. Also, is it ok if I give you a call sometime tomorrow? because my mate is having problems with Honda fixing his manifold and he needs advice.
 
Sure - give me a call. If the mileage on his car is genuine, they have to do it.

Btw, sorry for not calling.. I've been mad busy today. I'll be meeting shumel tomorrow evening, so will give a call then hopefully.

Do you guys know if this will fit my 2003 2.4 accord type s ?
hell of a lot cheaper than going to honda for a new one.

It will but you have to specify 'clearly' which one front/rear left or right.

Also bear in mind postage plus customs. I just got a honda one rather messing with wrong parts/returns/refunds so make sure the seller is very clear about which one he's sending guys.

What price did you get from honda i need the off side rear (drivers side rear) ABS sensor.

I had no issues with customs to be honest and it came in a little jiffy bag. The USA TSX is a Saloon only so just make sure you are buying for an Accord saloon and not tourer as rear sensor will be different I expect due to hub ***embly.
 
Mine got picked by customs. Charged me £18 something i think. I swear they just pluck figures out the air...
 
More like their a55.
 
lol yeah, when I ordered parts fom USA (was while ago) duty was 22.5% I think for anything over £18 and for gift £36, plus vat + courier admin charges.

Still probably work out cheaper but then you have a problem it's the hassle of returning faulty/incorrect items. On the plus side you may not get stung or get the seller to value item lower.

I've ordered new dealer parts from the states which with taxes still worked out considerably cheaper than uk dealers- what a joke :rolleyes:
