Both my rear brake lights have stopped functioning. The brake light in the tailgate is working ok. I have checked the bulbs, the fuse and the relay. When pushing the brake pedal you can hear relay click. I have connected a multimeter to the bulbs and have no voltage. Checked the earth connection, all ok. I do not know what to check next. I am thinking of running a new wire from the fuse to overcome the problem, unless anyone has any other ideas.

I thought the same - peel back the wiring loom and see if it’s been previously spliced into somewhere. I removed the towbar from our 8th gen recently and was very careful to remove each connection and preserve the integrity of each cable.
