Recommended HID kits

Hello all,

I have finally decided to fit HID's to my Accord

I know many other members have done the same, my question is what kit did you buy and would you recommend it.
Also what are the difference between cheap and expensive kits ?
(seeing UK kits from £15 upwards for 55W slim H1's)

was your car OK with the MOT
 
I had 5300k in my car from the first week i had it... 6 yrs later they where still going.
Passed every MOT at Honda, mind you it was in a 7th gen..
It was a middle priced 35 quid kit
 
What I have decided to go with are the following for a full new front look (all based on suggestions in other areas of the site)

You'd be best buying from Jav member hear firm called Horizon Leds top quality

hope you got your lights fitted Peter! Bet they look awesome now...

p.s the H11 fogs you bought consist of both Cree and SMD, our 50W model is actually all Cree LED both on top and sides. I cannot see the picture of yours on the top but it probably will be Cree, if they LEDs look the same as the ones on the side then it will be a SMD LED and not a Cree LED. Too many eBay sellers claim they are CREE but in actual fact you have to be very careful, always happy to advice to members :)

Thanks for the information, the H11 fogs I have are like the below.

To be fair I rarely have them on but they are a good match to the HID's.

I do have an issue with the HID kit, one light sometimes turns off and when I turn them off and on it starts to work again (only happens like once a week only)
The connections I made sure were tight and a good fit.
I have been issued a replacement Ballast and will fit it when I have time but as it is such a pain to change on the 8th Gen, I will someday get round to it.

PS - I am very mindful of talking about other LED's and try to suggest Horizon every time as your stuff do look quality but with Xmas coming up and having 2 girls money is tight (plus it keeps the other half happy that i am not spending too much on the car) :)

I have my eye on the interior kit you have, I have some LED's inside but would like the full package (I may treat myself again for Xmas)
