Sat Nav Disc - what's the most recent release?

Alright guys, am I right in thinking the pre facelift sat nav discs are 2.xx and facelift are 3.xx as the facelift have voice activation and some other features?

If so, does anyone know what the latest, most up to date 2.xx sat nav is. Has anyone got one? If so, is it noticeably better than the older ones? I.e. is it worth spending the money?

Mine's an antique 2.01 and I'm starting to get a bit sick of the serious lack of roads and destinations on there. Thinking of updating it.

I'll see what 2.xx disc I have - the number 2.52 is ringing bells for me though.... Don't get your hopes up with regards new roads though. I think my 3.xx still gets confused in Hampden Park. Will be down again next weekend BTW.
 
You have a 2.xx and a 3.xx :unsure:? So have you upgraded from 2 to 3? If so, does that mean I can do the same in a pre facelift :unsure:? I ***umed the 2 referred to the hardware and .xx refers to the software edition. Software upgradeable, hardware not so.

Next weekend? Do you mean this coming weekend or the one after? To be fair, both weekends are probably not doable. Got a retro Video Arcade and Pinball Convention this coming weekend in Worthing. I'm cashing in a lot of man-time points on that. Leaving the Mrs with the boy all weekend :huh:. Then next weekend is my Sister's Birthday and she'll likely be down with her kids for the weekend. But let me know which weekend, I can still try and slip out at some point.
 
Weekend of the 21st bud... Sunday morning I will be shooting - then din dins, so would be afternoon.

My car came with 2.xx but I upgraded to 3.xx Will dig out the discs in a minute to see what versions they actually were, but you're right - v3 doesn't work in pre-facelift AFAIK.
 
I got a V2.11 genuine disk off ebay a few months ago, according to the Navteq web site this is the latest version. You get new roads (obviously) and a few more POI's (manily banks from what I can tell) and that's your lot. I think the 11 roughly corresponds to the year, so a 2.12 might be out at some point soon.
 
No more v2's are coming bud.
 
Just had a rummage and could only find a 3.01 disc. I was sure I had another one but am already late fro work. Will try again tonight.
 
For 03-06 ver you can only use 2.xx discs - can't upgrade to v3. As someone mentioned above 2.11 is the latest one - there's one available on ebay at the moment (geniune one) - Honda Sat Nav Disc V2.11
