Screeching Noise

I'm having a weird problem with my car. I was night shift last night and I came back this morning without any problems. Just now I tried to drive my car but it when a move an inch, I hear a screeching noise. I never had that before. I changed the brakes 2 months ago and never had such sound. I've checked the oil level, it was nearly in the minimum mark :( I poured 0W30 1 liter oil but sound didn't go away. I hope, the engine is still OK. I'm going to ask the local Honda service what could be the problem. I will keep you updated.
 
Does it run okay until you let the clutch out to move?
 
I'm sorry, it's not the engine.. I was alone and couldn't quite hear when it was coming from. Now that we're 2 people, we found out that it was coming from the left front tyre. It seems to be calipers. But why did it happen after 2 months and will it ever disappear. I'm thinking of repositioning or maybe put some break fluid. They are getting rusty if it rains and car stays 1 or 2 days in the same place.
 
They will go rusty if the car is stood don't put anything onto the discs or the breaking surface of the pads. Maybe something is stuck in the caliper like a stone? Take the wheel off and see if you can see anything that doesn't look right or if anything has worked loose. Did you use copper slip on the back of the pads and any part they come in contact with ie where they sit in the caliper carrier?
 
Also do a running brake test every time you set out, accelerate to 30mph and brake heavily, this shift the rust and show that they are working. Make sure you are "alone" before you brake.

Davecmr you may the solution here. My dad had exactly the same thing garage whacked it in reverse and gave it some and out popped a stone.......
 
Stone between the pad and disc. I had the same on mine a few weeks ago! It made a truly horrendous noise! If I hadn't had the same happen a year or so ago on my old Audi I'd have been convinced my car was knackered!

Just boot it and hit the brakes with some force a couple of times.
 
Well I called a friend of mine today. He took a look and said there is no need to take the wheel. When I asked why is that? He took my hand and showed me that there was a contact between the metal cover behind the disc brake and the disc. He pushed it slightly back and Tadaaa ! Problem solved. I felt kinda embarrassed. I don't understand why this happened at all. I didn't go through any bumps or holes. Maybe I have unfriendly neighbors who are trying to tell me something...

A little embarrassment is far better than a screwed timing chain buddy!
