Hi, just looking for some advice if there are some people who are experiencing the same problems as me. I have a 2009 2.2iDTEC Accord ES-GT Diesel with a slipping clutch. Clutch slips at around 2000rpm - 2500rpm in 3rd, 4th, 5th and sometimes in 6th gear.

The clutch and flywheel have just been replaced due to this problem and its still there. I've been back to the garage and they have adjusted the cruise control switch on the pedal which seems to have helped a little but the problem still persists.

Any advice or help please on this matter would be much appreciated??

Was it fitted by a Honda dealer ?
If not perhaps it was fitted not using the correct setting tool that Honda use.

Hi there, thanks for the replies... no it is not re-mapped all standard. Clutch and DMF were replaced by an independent garage. Spoken to the garage and they are having it back Friday. They mentioned that it could be something to do with fluids, they are going to be changing the hydraulic fluid. Could this be the case, could it be anything to do with the slave / master cylinder?

Hi I had this problem also! Happend to me exactly like that! I solved the issue by bringing m car directly to Honda, the clutch needs a special tool that only Honda has to put the clutch in place, I guarantee you when they remove the clutch they will also find a large amount of copper geese, problem is the tension between the clutch and the DMF has slipped out of place without the correct too being used, I battled wit this problem for 2 months and 3 different mechanics, Honda solved the problem instantly, directly to Honda is the way to go £55 an hour labour, there is no point going to another mechanic as it won't fix the problem, I changed all the fluids etc and got no luck! Hope it helps, contact me for more info cause it's a hell of an issue
