Hi,

lately i've been chasing these issues with my 07 Accord 2.2 i-ctdi (around 400k kms)
Stumbling start - especially when its cold (but also sometimes when its warm) it tries to fire up but it kinda stumbles and you have to continue turning it over until it fully starts (a bit hard to explain i gotta admit)

Sluggish and sometimes random Acceleration.... sometimes it drives better sometimes worse but never 100%

Higher than normal fuel consumption (around 6l/100km)

following things have been replaced:
4 Injectors
4 Glowplugs
Timing chain
Turbocharger
Pressurerelief valve

been trying a few imrc solenoids out with slightly changing outcomes but at the end its still the same.
Cleaned out EGR and Intake runner fully
checked vacuum lines for leaks

what i noticed while checking real time data is; when under full throttle the car barely accelerates the target fuel pressure has no value... it accelerates normally when there is a value and it reaches the value when a value is set...

up for suggestions - located in Germany

Without any prior mapping to disable egr?

And where would u blank it? The piping from the cylinder head towards the valve or at the valve itself?

No you will need it mapping, and it will throw an error so have a basic code reader to clear off any errors while you try and diagnose the issue.

Just temporarily blank it at the block where the aluminium pipe connects, the idea is to stop any leaking gasses getting in there. If your starting problems stop then you know that’s been your issue all along.

You can’t actually clean these egr valves, and quite often the plunger shaft warps and causes the valve to either stick or just operate very slowly which manifests with these types of issues.

If you determine this has been the cause and need a permanent solution, drop me a line.
