I've had my Accord tourer for about a month and so far I've replaced the fuel filter due to cutting out and serviced with 0-30 (not the end of the world)... 2 days after I did that the turbo bearings collapsed! £200 for a turbo and £160 fitting... A week later injector 3 started leaking oil. So, new seal at £3.50 and an hour of a Saturday! This is when we find the ex Honda mechanic who the last owner used for all servicing (including a timing chain replacement) had put the wrong type of seal in! Later the same day, injector 4 starts pouring out diesel. Ordered 3 new seals and started work the following Saturday. This is when we find that the cam cover has a crack in it where some monkey has put a screwdriver through it! No doubt while trying to remove the injector. Cover off and welded up (by the way, a rocker cover gasket set is £60!WTF). All injector clamps replaced (£68) as they had been mullered! Bolt hole for injector 3 clamp re tapped as it too had been ***aulted! After all this the damn thing wouldn't start. All injectors sent for testing and 2 had bits removed and one was on it's last legs! £120 for 3 injectors being delivered tomorrow and Faddy booked at the weekend for coding and remap... Hopefully!
Moral of the story? Never trust any garage! The previous owner had been using this moron for years and is taking his shiny new tourer to him for servicing...
I'm lucky in the fact my fiance's company is letting their fitter work on it for free and all the bits are through a company account VAT free!

Man when it rains... it really pours. Hopefully onwards and upwards from here ;)

Oh man, that is horrible news:( I can bet though that once you fix all these problems it will run sweet:)

Its not the cars fault the last owner was a monkey. These problems have all come to a head now its been passed to you, the new owner. Hopefully you've sorted all the problems and it'll be plain sailing for you now buddy B)

That's very bad luck but as said its down to the last owner why you have all these problems.
Now there sorted you can start enjoying the car.

Indeed! The car will have a pampered life now it's with me. I just need to start saving for the Mugen Aero kit... :-/
