Today I fitted my new strip DRLs. I know not everyone likes aftermarket DRLs, but I am pleased with the way they came out. I took a few pics too, have a look:

Very nice indeed but i thought they would have been a bit brighter.I am probably comparing them to an Audi

Cheers Brett, they are actually quite bright

Not to my taste either.. but it ain't my car ;)

Hey AJ, thanx my man. I wired them to my side lights so I won't be using them at all during the day. The strips are virtually un-noticeable when off as they are placed in the gap between the headlights and bumper. I like the look!!!

well well looking very stunniny mate :), good job!

Any chance of getting a close up od shot of how you have fitted them. My main problem with these were the fact that you had to stick them on top of the headlight which in my opinion didnt look too good but if you have got them recessed a little they may not be as bad

Thanx Ged, they actually look much better than in the pics- everyone thats seen them says they are really cool

very nice indeed mate

Maybe this is better shot:

....you can fit these in whatever length or style, even on bumper. They will remain concealed when off- thats the beauty of it. This is how I did it:

Shabz, something I couldn't do with my Type S is fit them on the bumper- that was my preference. Suggestion- your type of bumper would have been ideal for me,i.e just above the fog light and discretely beneath the bumper recess. That way the LED strip would be shorter and look a less obvious mod. Just an opinion.

I like it, but at the same time I'm kinda ummmm do I really???
I think I would need to see what it looks like in real life before I decide if I want it on my car.
Saying that though the strips are removable so thats good, and it's cheap enough to replace if a stone hits it or something.

Nice mod dude. :)

Hi Ross, thanx for the nice comment and kinda know what you mean. Surprisingly all my pals who have seen think it suits the car. Yes they are removable, and I think I will shorten them slightly so they don't wrap round towards the side lights. The strips are safely tucked under the headlight so its unlikely they will be damaged. I would have also preferred the subtle route, i.e lower down in the bumper, but I couldn't see how on my type of bumper. There's many ways to fit them, but them boys in America fit them on their cars with good effect. I found this Accord which I think worked well with the strips:

I love the look of that white accord in the pic's you posted.
Also like what he did with the grill. nice touch.
My car is Deep Mocha Pearl, so I guess I gotta be carefull in which mods I want and also trying to figure out what will look good on my baby.
:)

I am deffo thinking about this mod though.

I think the difficult part about this mod is conserving subtlety. I am keeping mine under the headlights but I will shorten them.
