Hi guys,

Is it a straight swap to get some factory HID headlights from the exec model and swap them straight onto the 2003 type s model?

I'm thinking (hoping) quicker and easier than an aftermarket HID conversion.

If this is possible, would it have to be the pre facelift headlights or will post facelight (05 to 08) headlights bolt straight on too?

Thanks

There's a little bit of work to do this. If you want to pass the MOT. The head-lamps will fit, but you'll need to take:

1. Ballast
2. Cabling
3. Levellers
4. ECU
5. Head-lamps
6. Head-light washers

You'll also need somewhere on the shocks to attach the levellers (***uming you'll do this??)

Hey Jayok, how's Jamaica treating you?

As for the MOT, not quite. Where washers and a self levelling system are present, they must be operational and working correctly. Doesn't actually have to be fitted with HIDs to pass an MOT. It's like the spare tyre thing. If it's there, it has to be ok, but you don't need one.

See here: http://www.motuk.co.uk/manual_170.htm

Hey Steve, best part of Jamaica is looking and Ireland and UK in the winter! :D All good, miss the Accord, the Grand Vitara doesn't hold a candle.

Loving the Red Stripe too...

Haha! Res Stripe! My local pub growing up in Handsworth, Birmingham had Red Stripe on tap. There are obvious connections between my home stomping ground and the Caribbean. Suzuki Vitara though...

Yes, the Red Stripe, it really suits the weather, light and refreshing, just like the weather of home, huh? :D

The only plus about the Suzuki Vitara, is that I know that I'd never buy one when I return (it's a company car!) :)
