One of my Tail Pipes has come off. I've got it, but the bolt that holds it on is rusted terribly. The other pipe looks like it could be close to going too, really rusted bolt etc. Honda want over £90 per tail pipe  . Which for a cosmetic luxury, seems way over priced for my liking.

I know how to get the bolt out, but it's a fiddly job and they're pretty bad cosmetically (I've bent one tailpipe slightly backing into an unusually high kerb). So if I can pick up a pair of replacements for between £10-£20 per pipe, I'll just replace them both.

Here's the thing, it's got a 100mm bore and a 60mm bolted fitment. Sounds straight forward, except I just can't find one that's round, with a slanted edge like the original in this size and at a decent price. What tail pipes are you guys here rolling with? Anyone got any cheap-ish ones that look similar to the original? Or any examples of good alternatives, discreet but cool if you know what I mean.

Thanks.

I'm using iepower tail pipes and they're good quality and they have a huge range of models.

Here in Portugal we have a website for a the brand, represented by Interescape. Take a look.http://iepower.interescape.com/catalogo/ponteiras/?id=P_1

Don't know if it pays off including posting, but they are really good quality.

i have a 2nd hand tailpipe from my 2.4 type s if your intrested. the bolt holding it still comes off. Pm me if intrested.

Most aftermarket pipes just look like "Halfrauds" stick on jobs, where as the Type S pipe looks like a genuine extension of the pipe.

The best from Honda I'd say, even better than those on the S2000 !

go for S2000 ones its never been done before, its original and it looks nice thats all im saying lol

I saw an S2000 today and thought about it's exhausts, but I'm not keen on oval shaped ones.

But I checked my other one tail pipe on Friday and that also came off with very little persuasion as its bolt was also very rusted.

So, for new Honda ones it's £180 but I cannot justify spending £180 on tailpipes. To be honest, I don't have a great deal of spare cash for spending on this at all.

I take the point about the after market ones. I'll have a crack at the bolt solution, see how I get on. I know what I need to do, it's just a matter being bothered.

Failing that though, if I have no joy with getting the rusted bolt out, I've seen these:

After market, but not so bad?

I thought these could be fairly subtle tucked away under the tourer's bumper and not look too "in your face". What do you think?
