Accord Type S 2003
Morning gents,

so i have been viewing a few of K&N induction kits on ebay, however there are a few with subtle differences in relevance to specific models. They both look the same, and i just wanted to know which one would suit a 2003 2.4 Type S?

Thanks in advance Accord dudes!

Someone is selling a brand new Injen Induction kit that would be perfect for your Type S for £180 on the for sale board.

Click the link.

I think you need one more post to view the for sale section.

The one with this part number: 69-0025TP because its listed as fitting the acura tsx, which is the american spec of our cars. The same year accord in america is totally different exterior wise, not sure about engine wise but its safer to buy american parts for the acura tsx as they will be a direct fit.

Just on a side note guys. In term sof induction kit for the 2.4 type s. Is it a straightforward diy jobby and which one is peoples opinions is best in terms of durability/sound/persformance/looks/price etc etc.

Thanks again in advance...

I couldn't pay £300 odd for one of them, I put a cone filter on mine where the pipe meets the box, cost me about £30 makes the same noise and I don't believe u can tell the difference in performance unless u are a numbers guy on a rolling road all the time. Just my opinion guys.

The Typhoon kit is well worth the money and has proven gains. My brothers K24 made just shy of 206bhp on the dyno with no other mods. With a normal cheap cone filter there is a definite loss of low down torque.

We've transferred his typhoon kit over to the EuroR and replaced it with a universal cone.

So an 18 bhp improvement over stock, just off an induction kit.
Did u dyno the car stock by any chance?

To get a true gain?

No, it was dyno'd a few months after fitting and I wouldn't suggest it made such a high gain, especially as these cars are known for making more than original quoted figures.

But there is a genuine gain which can be felt in real world driving as well as dyno. I would say it's closer to 6-8bhp on a k24 once all correction factors are considered

Will the k&n typhoon from the euro R and ep3 fit on a k24 accord?

Never tried it mate, I’m sure with some slight pipe work modifications you can make it fit.

the throttle body is at a different angle so yeah would probably need to cut and join it, might as well make my one out of joiners as a used typhoon goes for about £100
