Hi guys I want to lower my 2.4 type s tourer

I have seen a few kits but....

is the type s slightly lower as standard?

I want to lower it about 30mm. But the kits I have seen say 30mm lower so will this be 30mm lower than a normal tourer or 30mm lower than a type-s?

Any advise greatly appreciated :)

Pretty sure the S-Type has the same suspension as the standard, and that A-Spec was an optional extra that some people went for. But I've seen some pretty high sitting Type-S's, so I doubt they were rolling on A-Spec suspension.

If you have A-Spec, it's unlikely you'll feel the desire to lower your car, unless you want it truly slammed. So that fact you're even asking suggests to me that you have standard suspension ;) .

I lowered my 2.4 Exec on Apex Springs. I highly recommend them. My car looks like this:

And the handling is loads better. Less steering wheel play and much less body roll on roundabout and corners.

The pre-facelift Type S suspension is the same as the Exec - so no difference there. I think the facelift Type S is 15mm lower.

I've used Bilstein and H&R spring and I get 30mm of lowering. As Steve says handling is a lot better than stock.

Installing is pretty straight-forward. What's the specific ask?

Hi Any chance of a part number for the springs from H&R and the best place to get them from. Many thanks. Pete.

Thanks mate.
