Hi. I’d really appreciate a little help if possible.
Sadly I hit a small deer in my 2010 Type S. Purely on the basis of four photographs I’ve sent to the insurance company, they have written the car off! The damage is not at all major, and I thought I was doing the right thing by retaining the vehicle to repair myself. The only obvious damage really being a bumper which is cracked in a couple of places. A lost parking sensor surround, leaking coolant from the radiator and a broken washer bottle. All of which I suspect I can resolve. Fortunately the intercooler appears undamaged, however the condenser unit is a problem.
It appears the Type S condenser unit is shorter than a standard 2.2 I-DTEC unit, and stands on slightly longer brackets. I believe the part no may be 80100-TLO-G11? I guess because it’s a less common item, I’m really struggling to find a source for replacement, other than the main dealers. Obviously they wish to charge a significant sum for said item!
I can’t find any suitable after-market units or scrappers with a Type S. Any helpful advice would be gratefully appreciated.
