What are my headlights? Halogen hid

2010 pre facelift

The light seems to blip on with blue ish light

Someone told me they are halogen someone hid

What are the differences and how can I tell

Someone mentioned ballast behind light but I can't see anything

Just curious really
 
Take the bulb out and have a look bud, that's the simplest way. If its HID it has to have a ballast
 
Lee I'm sure there HID on your car.
Best way to tell if you have washers on your lights you will have Auto adjustable HID

Not true I have a EX and have standard lamps
 
I was told even on type s it was option for hid?

Was is difference between the two types anyway
 
You sure about the washers Brett? 7th gen Exec has washers but halogen lamps
 
EX GT brett has HID , as does the type s not the EX was option for some reason ? Honda bonkers spec
 
Honda told me it was option on type s?
 
Maybe the latest spec type s as its no longer a range topper( in 150 bhp form) ... Pre facelift The 180 bhp type was standard .

Yep 100% mate no washers no hid.
Washers fitted you have hid but I have after market so all good.
 
No what I mean is are you sure that if it has washers then it has hid? Because the 7th gen had washers but didn't come with hid

I'm sure the 8th gen are different washers are now only fitted with HIDs

Not always, i've got a 2007 2.0 exec with washers and HID
 
They would have been added as an option then. The only 7th gen to have them as standard were the pre facelift 2.4 petrol Exec.
 
^^ I should've stated that no 7th gen Accord got HIDs in Ireland. Richard, you've got the 8th gen 180 Type S which does come standard with HIDs, not all 8th gens have HIDs.

Are you sure you don't have an ES-GT??

Oh an d the ballast are usually under the headlights.

I got a european lhd car (belgium)

Even the brochure is different. Same car, different layout, pictures and text

We only have a few cars to choose from:
* 2.0/2.2 comfort
* 2.0/2.2 sport
* 2.0/2.2/2.4 executive
* 2.4 type-s
