What other cars have people got/had

Man, she wears those wheels so well. They really suit! I'm almost tempted to get something similar.
I'll second that [emoji119][emoji119][emoji119]

Had this a year now. Original plan was to sell the Accord, but the Accord has been so reliable and uses about half the fuel, so I couldn't get rid!

More comfortable than the Accord mind you :)

Had some great fun with some of those cars. 2003 Accord was the best car I ever owned, ticked the most boxes and I'm on the hunt for another now. JDM 1.5 civic and EG9 vti were most memorable, they both cost me around £500-£600 at the time, bargain motoring. White BB4 prelude was the one I should never have sold, was written off by new owner not long after I sold it!

So the Accord 2.4'S' is the current drive, listing back through them....

EP3 Type-R (never fell in Love with it)
98 Civic Coupe (Great car - wished it was a Vti)
F reg Vauxhall Nova Flair (straight swap for Golf - see below)
P reg 8v Golf GTI (worst car I've ever owned)
07 Fiesta style diesel (gutless)
J reg Vauxhall Nova 1.5TD (underrated & quite quick)
G reg Vauxhall Nova 1.3 SR (bought from a stranger in a lay-by)
K reg Vauxhall Nova 1.2 Luxe (hard times/economical)
F reg Vauxhall Astra GTE 16v (rot box)
G reg Vauxhall Astra GTE 16v (rolled on it's roof in an accident)
G reg Vauxhall Cavalier GSi 16v (stolen)
H reg Vauxhall Nova GSi (kept for 12 years - turbocharged.......)
B reg Vauxhall Nova 1.2L (first car - loved it)

Some pics I have close to hand.

The GSi. I had the original 8v turbocharged, an utter rocket. Then n/a 1.6 16v, then 1.6 16v turbo. Finally came to my senses after 12 years & broke it. I met many great friends through Nova/Vauxhall shows.

Cavalier GSi. I had for all of about 10 days, it was stolen outside my house & was found some days later upsidedown in the local canal. A real shame, it was a clean one.

Astra GTE 16v - pic says it all.

Another mk2 GTE, this one was donated to me after the previous accident, it was broken for it's engine & that was all I had from the crashed car. GREAT

I wrote off the 2 Rovers infront of me whilst making this Nova look like this. Lights, fr panel & a bonnet & she kept going.

Hmm, I thought I had already done this one. Have lots of photos, somewhere, in a box. I'll scan them one day.
  • 1968 VW Beetle 1500, later boosted to 1640CC with a bore kit, cam and Holley twin barrel carb. Eventually took it off the road for a rebuild.
  • 1969 VW Beetle heavily modded with flared guards, lowered suspension, upgraded brakes, 1915CC bore kit, cam, sump, dual Holleys. A beast of a car. Swapped it for the next car when a truck swerved causing me to run into a gutter and wrecked the front suspension.
  • 1967 VW Beetle, upgraded brakes, 1915CC dual carb + cam. Sleeper look apart from wheels and kind of hard to hide the engine sound. 3 times the original HP.
  • 1968 VW Beetle, actually the first car again, rebuilt. 1915CC engine, suspension mods, upgraded brakes, custom tuned exhaust. Fun car.
  • 1959 VW Beetle, upgraded to 12V, 1300CC engine from a later model, other than that completely stock. Super reliable, but oh those unboosted drum brakes.. I kept the car and started to collect bits to convert it to an independent rear suspension Cal Look show car, but ran out of puff and ended up selling it with all my VW stuff.
  • 1981 Ford Fairmont XD. Gold metallic 4.2L 6 cyl beast. Great for overnight Sydney to Melbourne runs. Kept it until it was worth nothing.
  • Mitsubishi Express 2.0L van. Converted it to a semi camper. Smoked like crazy until I replaced the valve seals.
  • 1994 Accord CE2 VTI Wagon. Still kicking around as a spare family car.
  • 2006 Accord Diesel wagon.

    There's also a 2005 Hyosung GT250R and a 2008 Ducati 848 in this list.

I'm not going to give a list, but I'm going to share my favourite car, the first car I modified in a serious way. This was my Toyata Sera of about 15 years ago. I placed a 1.3 starlet turbo in it. The car had no soundproofing and I would swelter from heat in the summer, but it was a lovely machine.

My previous car (first one owned by me!) was a X reg Accord, saloon, automatic. Good car, but the auto box was a letdown. Before that had a Renault Laguna 1997 as a company car.
Current is my beloved CL7 55 reg, owned it since 2006.

First car was an '89 Ford Escort 1.1,
Then Toyota Corolla 1992 then I discovered Honda!

'99 Civic 1.4
'02 Accord 1.8
'04 Accord i-CTDI
'06 Accord i-CTDI Tourer

Currently '11 Accord Tourer i-DTEC Type-S
