Window doesn't move

My front passenger window doesn't go down though I can hear the motor running. I'm just wondering if its a common fault for these to come off the runners before I start ripping my door to bits?

I've managed to fix this tonight.
Took all the door panel off only to find that the glass had gone the wrong side of the rubber.
Lubricated the rubber seal and put it the right side of the glass and all seems to be fine now.
Someone has been in the door before though so will wait and see how long it lasts. At least it was nothing serious.

Good to see you have got it sorted.

Was the window sticking before i.e slow to close or anything, hopefully lubricating the seals will be enough.

I was told when I bought it that it had possibly come off its runners.
I could here the motor working but didn't want to try too much until the rain stopped just in case it got stuck in the down position.
When I looked properly it seemed to be sticking in the rubbers and moving at a funny angle but all ok now.
Being the wrong side of the rubber seal at the rear of the door frame probably didn't help.
