Have an issue develope over the last couple of months. Whilst driving getting a wobbling through the steering wheel. Only happens when accelerating. Can stop it if accelerating gently. But anything above that, puts a little wobble in and if the throttle is floored it is more pronounced.
Mate had a drive of it (he is a mechanic) and suspected the inner cv joint on the drive shaft. After the test drive he put the car up on the ramp and checked for any play in the driveshafts. He found there was play on the driver's side inner cv joint.
So ordered up a replacement from Honda. £250 (with boot kit) all delivered. He took the old one off today and couldn't find anything wrong with the joint . He had a similar issue on an EP3, found nothing wrong with the joints, but instead had to replace the whole driveshaft.
Was wondering if someone had experienced anything similar? Look like I might need to a refurbished driveshaft from somewhere.
The car now has 147k miles on it, to the best of my knowledge is still on its original clutch.
Has 17" Epsilons on with Khumo KU31 tyres
Any thoughts, help, would be appreciated. Cheers.
