Honda Accord 2.2
I’ve a 2.2 diesel, 54 plate, it’s always taken longer than expected to start, last year replaced filter with genuine Honda Bosch fuel filter, recently starting got worse, tried Wynns injector cleaner in fuel, actually ran like a dream, now won’t start at all, give little sniff easy start and she’s away. Friend used to work at parts at Honda , he aske a technician, they recon common fault in the day was high pressure fuel pump, it has a chamber that keeps the diesel in to start it, seals go and fuel runs back so starting issue. My questions are? Is the high pressure fuel pump easy to remove ( I have a donor car I can remove one from that ran perfectly) are there any other parts darts I should try from the donor car before changing the pump? Is the high pressure fuel pump just a straight swap or is their need fo recoding? Thank you in advance

Pressure relief valve stuck open or injectors

More crud coming through the fuel system from the tank may have already compromised the filter.

Have you run low (amber warning light plus 30 miles )?
