Hi All
After a successful change of the front discs and pads on the weekend, it's now time to do the rears. I realise that I will need to rotate the piston while compressing it, and although I'm sure I could manage with a pair of pliers I quite like the idea of using the right tool for the job. As a result I was planning on getting one of these:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sealey-Piston-Wind-Back-Double-Adaptor/dp/B000RA18AE/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1298395332&sr=8-6
Anybody used one? Worth the spend or not worth the effort?
Also, I shall be servicing the car too, using genuine parts. My local dealer recommends 5w30 oil, but that sounds too thin to me and indeed my 2.0i 63k miler makes a light knocking noise on startup for 60 seconds. I was thinking 10w40 might be better, and the manual seems to suggest that'll be fine. What's the consensus? Or could this noise be because the oil filter is a non Honda part and so might not be fitted with a non-return valve (***uming its location warrants such a thing) leading to oil draining out overnight?
Thanks
James
