2.4 Auto Tourer on a run.

Sounds like the bulbs or the ballasts maybe on its way out, mine lights up instantly after turning off and back on.

Its a 2006 DC5 Type R, comes with factory HID, same ballast unit with the D2R bulb as the 6th gen UK Accord Type R.

Yeh I meant colour temperature, reason I ask is my other honda Also have Factory HID fitted but with non projector lens, but the Accord is a lot brighter I guess it's to do with the Lens.

I don't bother using the auto light, as when ever you go under a bridge on the motorways it comes on and goes off straight after, people in front would think I'm flashing them.

whilst we're on the subject anyone know the rating of the OEM HID bulb?

Andy it's very easy to DIY no harder than a oil change.

Did you change the ATF filter while your at it? Flushed mine and along with a new filer when I bought it at 60k , made a huge difference gear change are now super smooth and fast. Will be doing the fluids every 2 yr from now on.

Thats incorrect, ALL pre-facelift 2.4 Executive came with HID from factory manual or auto. Facelift 2.4 EX only came with HID if ADAS were fitted, otherwise they're standard halogen projector lamp with manual adjuster as per the sale brochure and this Advert.

Check all your tyre pressure, this happened to me last year when one of my rear tyre valve is letting air out. the Check system LKAS warning light comes on when the car reaches 45mph +. i've trried disconnecting battery, remove module, fuses etc but fault still comes on. HH checked the error...

I had the exact same problem few months back, screeching noise from the passenger side rear disc. checked everything was fine, just carried on driving for a few miles and it was gone. I'm guessing a stone has somehow got stuck in between the disc and pads.

Neil - thanks will keep that in mind, lets pray i dont ever need to call them. I've spoke to HUK and customer relation team did offer to knock the parts down to £350+VAT then labours on top. But told them to go away as i wont be paying for something that they cant guarantee will fix the fault...
