Also to note these clips are crazy expensive- 2.65 a pop so be car€ful but they are plastic and perishable so not much one can do sometimes.

    Another Rusty Sunroof

My car is in Ireland and was a UK import. So head to your local Honda main dealer and get the process started. If you have any issues PM me and I'll give you the contact details of a guy in Honda Ireland who I contacted (pestered) to get mine sorted.

Mine was a 2008 (8th Generation) accord and Honda honored changing the sun roof. I don't think this is a warranty issue but more of a "the sunroof was defective from inital manufacture" issue. Go to Honda and they should change it for free. If not kick up a fuss and contact Honda UK (I had to...

    Feul consumption

I use a free Fuel Log app on the android. Basic and very good, keeps track of MPG and fuel costs and works out the cost per mile. Highly recommend.

Any tips on buying a second hand 8th Gen Accord?

Two things come to mind, includes the problems I've been having. 1. If there is a sun roof check for corrosion around the rubber seal, pull back the rubber seal and if you rust then trouble... 2. Also check for binding rear brakes, take it for a test spin for 5 miles and check the temperature...

    Another Rusty Sunroof

Just asked a guy I know with the same year Honda as me and I check his sun roof... and there it was, same as my own, "beautiful" brown rust!!! Will now contact Honda for a 3rd time and see if they are interested in looking into this, after all it is their product that is defective and I would...

    Another Rusty Sunroof

Yeah just as I suspected, mine is not an isolated incident. **** poor that Honda don't own up and admit the problem and come to some compromise to a resolution. Those cases of corrosion will only increase as time goes by. If a person does not check for corrosion then the first sign of a problem...

    Squeaking Seat

Yeah, I had a very similar problem when my car was under warranty. Very annoying squeak when I leaned into the seat. Honda sorted it, think it was some of the foam rubbing against one of the metal supports.

    Another Rusty Sunroof

Cheers Brett... I think that it is a little more than surface rust and is starting to compromise the seating of that rubber seal. The other problem is that I will not be able to take that rubber strip off so it'll be a case of patching up as best I can until a sunroof appears at a breakers...
