No unfortunately they’re Euro5 diesel which is not compliant.

    Somebody Here ?

Not sure I understand. Yes the car has a valid mot. And we solved the over heating problem almost immediately, it was simply a split hose!

    Somebody Here ?

I’m collecting it tomorrow. The guy who bought it off eBay jerked him around. It wasn’t £400 but not too much more. It’s going to be a project for my 16 year old to learn on, and if we can fix it and flip it.. that becomes his pot for a first car next year. If we lose it all because it’s not...

    Somebody Here ?

I’ve seen this listing previously. It’s more likely a head gasket problem.

    2.2 DTEC EGR VALVE

Just remove your little gasket and use as a template to make one with some metal sheet. It’s not difficult.

8th Gen DIY: i-DTEC Manual Gearbox Oil Change

Don’t put any flushes through it, just stick to a normal fluid change with genuine MTF3.

    Was this a good buy?

If the engine is cold then possibly a sticking egr valve (try temporarily blanking egr). If engine is warm then likely a bad fuel pressure relief valve.

    Full Beam stays on

I hadn’t realised that. I’ve swapped headlight relays on other cars (most recently one of my old Saabs a few months ago) for the very same issue. I had always ***umed it was the same replaceable item on a Honda. I guess you never stop learning in life!

    Full Beam stays on

If banging the fusebox is solving it then sounds like a sticky relay. Just locate the correct one using the fusebox key printed on the box (or possibly in your owners manual) and simply remove and replace it.

Have you tried replacing the headlight relay?

2012 CW3 2.2 Diesel Estate Tourer burning a lot of oil

Sounds like a knackered engine mate, the oil sludge has done its damage. My mind went to turbo seals but you’ve done that.
