are you looking for retro fit in non standard HID lamps (i.e.no auto height adjusters) or are you looking for oem replacement? If the 1st I have a couple of sets for sale at the minute 1of which was in my car for 4years with no problems, more details in the forsale section:)

answered your own question, the previous owner as replaced the lamps and for some reason not set up the beam pattern. its easy enough prk the car facing a wall/garage and then adjust the beam till they are in line, the adjuster is on the top of the headlamp, if its still rubiish after that then...

Also try spraying some electronic contact spray on the Throttle position sensor plugs, mine was playing up big time, couple of sprays and its been fine for the last 2 years, Honda wanted £250.00 to replace it!

just read this and your other topic, could the fault be electrical related? sounds like a loose battery connection or bad earth? Check all in take pipes to, there's a strong possibility something has been knocked when the rack was done.

what colour is the car? be interested in drivers side front wing and front bumper? also after a rear bumper for a saloon

Mot was last month! I have felt for play in trackrod ends the week before last and didn't feel anything obvious. The wheel did move a little but I thought that was just the rack moving. ill try and get it accessible next week and have a good lever about. thanks for the help.

No the feeling has been there a while,but has got better with every bit I have replaced. The old tyres where badly worn and worn unevenly, so replacing these has made a big difference but it is definitely not right. Thanks for the tip on the top knuckle I'll get that checked tomorrow and...
