You need to remove door card and check wiring for current. Also it could be a broken wire at the door hinge level, between body and door

How can you be sure the actuator is at fault? Have you checked if the speakers and electric windows are working ok for that door?

I go from the side of the arch. I actually take the arch lining off a bit and just force my hand in to reach the bulb. They are a pain on the diesel with such a big engine block
