    Passenger dipped beam issue

I've been having some headlight issues on my gen7 tourer, for a while now the passenger dipped beam bulb would blow and I'd need to replace it. However this time, even the new bulb (checked it with a multimeter and it's ok) doesn't work. Strange thing is on the driver's side the red wire clips...

5 speed auto box oil change help

Cool, thank you, I had read that and I'm only doing it as part of ongoing maintenance, it's never been changed since we've had it, hopefully I'll be ok with the 3 litres I have then. How do I check I haven't overfilled? Is it a case of just topping up a little at a time and checking the...

5 speed auto box oil change help

I have a 2003 2.0 petrol with the auto box and looking to change the oil. I'm taking it that I can just take out the drain plug, empty it and then it has the large dip stick bung hole that I'm guessing is the filler? Other than that, how do I know when it's full/how much oil do I need, had a...

Thank you for that, I've stripped it back and need to have a better look, also have a good auto electrician near by so may just drop it to him.

    Rear number plate lights issue

Ok we have progress, checked all the interior fuses and fine, I was putting everything back together as I pulled all the tailgate trim off ready to take it somewhere but when I put the bulbs back in they worked, after closing the boot though they go off so it's definitely a wiring issue, where's...

    Rear number plate lights issue

I checked all the fuses in the engine bay and they're all good. Going as a matter of course to check them all under the dash too, can't harm and then go from there.

    Rear number plate lights issue

Ok, thank you, the sidelights are definitely still working. Strange too as they both didn't work, I went to change the bulbs, out a bulb in one side and it worked, went to put one in the other side, it sparked and now they both don't work and no voltage, very strange. I'll check the fuse though...

    Rear number plate lights issue

I have a 2003 tourer, 2.0 auto, the rear plate lights were both out, I swapped one bulb and it worked, went to swap the second one and it sparked and now they both won't work even with new bulbs, have been through the manual and searched with no luck to see what fuse they use, all the other...

    Noise from the rear...

In at the garage tomorrow for new rear pads and discs as drivers side was catching too and has knackered the disc, they don't think it's the bearing, they only did some work last week on it. Anyway want to spend as little as possible it's now sold when he pays the rest. Going back to a Civic...

    Noise from the rear...

New pads only done a few weeks ago, so shouldn't be that and wheels aren't getting warm like they would if brakes were catching, strange. Am going to call the garage and get their take on it in the morning...

    Noise from the rear...

cheers, have had the stone noise before and it definitely isn't that kind of noise. I was hoping it wasn't the bearing, does it sound like it might be? Would a bearing only be noisy at certain speeds, don't want to put 2 new tyres on only to find out it's not them...

    Noise from the rear...

Just started the other day out of nowhere, a whinning noise that is related to speed, ok until about 30 then real bad between 40-50, get's a bit better up to 60 and faster seems pretty good again. Think it may be the tyres as when driving on the snow it doesn't seem to do it, suggesting road...

    Starting issues...

Cool, as for the car, kind off, am enjoying tinkering with the MR2 and fancy another little project, old Civic or something, frees up the money then for both projects and I don't have the headache of keeping on top off looking after a nice shiny big car, great that it is I don't have the time to...
