    Accord handbrake adjustment

I've used this today. Now down to 4 clicks. Haven't tested the efficiency of the handbrake itself yet but it feels better than yanking the handbrake up 10 clicks. Ps, if you're thinking of doing this, it's really easy. Even I could do it!

    Rear Wheel Bearing

That's a great write up. What size is the nut? I reckon I can change mine.

    Rear Wheel Bearing

Sorry to sound like a complete idiot, but when you say crack the nut, should I be buying a replacement nut then? Maybe that question answers if I should be doing this myself ha ha.

    Rear Wheel Bearing

Fair point, I'm not a fan of buying cheap. Like you say, I'll replace it twice. I've changed pads and discs so not sure if that qualifies me to really do this? I'd like to do it though just so I know how.

    Rear Wheel Bearing

I've been told my rear wheel bearing needs replacing but just wanted some advice from you guys. I understand from reading various posts on here that the bearing comes as part of the hub however I'm wondering if I'm able to replace this myself as the bearing doesn't need to be pressed in. I've...

    Mazzini Tyres

I've not. I've had budgets fitted and get loads of road noise, so I'm seriously thinking about paying more for my tyres and even fitting sound proofing stuff to try and reduce the noise into the cabin.

    Ideal tyre pressure 1.8 sport

I go for 38psi myself at the moment, as above, opt for fuel economy.

    Seagulls....hate them!

Well I spent a couple of hours washing and polishing my car, went for a drive and pulled into the local maccy d's for a quick bite to eat. Nothing wrong so far you'd think, well it turns out every seagull in the South Wales area decides to drop its guts on my car. P*ssed off was an...

Woden "things", do they pop out?

As above, the glove box one is easy to remove as it's screwed in. I've been wanting to remove the ones on the door as I want to carbon wrap them but don't want to break them either by removing them. If anyone has a good technique for this l'll happily give it a go.

    Bonnet Cable

Hiya guys, Right, the bonnet cable seems to have fixed itself but it's not got that same pop up action as it used to so I'm guessing the cable has indeed got too much slack. Can I rectify this with the existing cable or does it need a new cable?

    Bonnet Cable

Tried to open my bonnet to top up the windscreen washer but got nothing when I pulled the latch. I didn't hear the cable snap and its still connected at the end in the drivers foot well. Any ideas on how I can open the bonnet as I don't like not being able to check my oil either.

    Speaker sizes

I recently put 13.5cm speakers in the front of mine. Not sure what's in the back though. I do need to have a look though as the sound still feels a bit tinny if you get me. Did we get an amp as standard on the sport though?

    Steering Wheel Control

That would be enough for me.

Tin-Man, if you could keep us updated, that would be great! I'd love to add it to mine.

How do you use TypeAccord & why did you first join?

I find I find I log on here every day to be honest. I used to be on THAOC before it was closed, but I only joined that as I bought an Accord . I don't really have that much knowledge to share but anything I do try myself (changing front discs and pads) I will do a write up on and post on here...

    Steering Wheel Control

I'll leave it well alone then. That means I'll have to stretch all the way to the stereo to control the volume. I feel like a caveman ha ha!

    Steering Wheel Control

Hi All, Was the 6th ever available with steering wheel controls for the stereo? If I wanted this installed, would it be an easy enough DIY job? Cheers.

    wobbly steering..?

I had that problem at 70mph on my sport. I checked the tyre pressures and found the fronts were under 30mbar. I'd check them first. And yes, I check my pressures every week now.

    Exhaust back box

Exec, you were right. The first garage I rung were talking b**locks, they were bolts and they had to be heated to get them off the centre pipe. Anyway, my local garage removed them and put the new back box on and now it sounds like a normal car again. Happy days!

    Exhaust back box

Having problems now, I'm unable to take off the remaining part of the back box that is still connected to the centre part of the exhaust. I called a local garage who said that there aren't nuts holding the two together, but studs. How would I go about removing what's left of the back box without...
