Have you checked the bulkhead for rot? if your floorpan is gone, I suspect your bulkhead is to and that can let in water, shine a torch above the footwells and see.

I use chemical guys paste wax 3X in a tub, costly but amazing stuff. You will find the proffesional detailers use Chemical guys and originates from the USA who we all know are obsessed with the OCD clean of their cars. Been using it for years.

Check the bulkhead by sticking your head up the footwell and check for any rust.

Depending how bad it is, it will be much cheaper to get a replacement door, in the same colour if possible. A good garage will charge easily about £200 minimum.

May be a silly question but have you adjusted the dimmer to the top? its located between the rev and speedo counters. May be a connection issue regards to why that bit isn't lighting up, maybe test another speedo and see if it does the same

ATR's never came with heated mirrors, unless it was an optional extra fitted.
