    Rear brakes overheating

I had an issue with a sized caliper on the rear of my tourer, so I ended up replacing both rear calipers and all the pads. Now the rear brakes get really hot when the car is driven. When it is stopped the brakes are free and not binding, but drive it for 20 minutes or so and the wheel is too...

What brake system have i got?

I need to buy replacement brake pads for my 2007 Accord Tourer 2.2CDTi. Should be simple, but it seems that there are at least two, and maybe three, different sizes of brake pads used depending on the manufacturer of the braking system. The choices are between Teves, Lucas and Akebono, and each...

Loss of display at top of dash

I (hopefully) managed to fix it myself. On removing the green socket, one of the pins was loose. A few dabs of solder to reconnect it and on reassembly it all seems to be working fine. Only time will tell

Loss of display at top of dash

I've got the same issue. When you say put something between the green socket and the casing, do you mean where i has circled red in the picture below? As on mine there is no gap to wedge something into.

Upper Display fault - will cooking it help?

My upper dash LCD display (Clock/aircon temp/Radio info) is intermittently faulty, flickering or going out completely, when coming back on etc. A sturdy thump to the top of the dash usually makes it flick back on , but it soon goes dark again. I've taken it apart and had a fiddle around and i'm...

    Clock setting woes

Thanks for the info. That was a bit short-sighted of Honda! For a company renowned for its attention to detail and precision, I'd say that making a sat Nav that can't tell the time is a bit of a blunder. Sounds like there's nothing much i can except buy a stick-on battery-powered clock then... :(

    Clock setting woes

I'm trying to set the clock on my 2007 Accord Tourer...simple, right? It is currently showing the time as exactly +1 hr (ie, if it is 8:43pm it is showing 21:43) So i looked in the manual and it tells me that the time is automatically set by the nav system. I looked at the Nav system, went to...

    Mystery warning light

Driving down a steep hill yesterday i had a warning symbol pop up on the matrix display (where the trip computer usually shows its info) It was an orange circle with sort of brackets either side of it - like this: (O) In the circle was a wavy line which went horizontally across the bottom...

    Alarm continually going off

It's not too bad, but yes, most of the trim has to come out. The tricky bit is working out where to safely lever to pop out any clips

    Alarm continually going off

Found and removed the alarm and the battery. It looks a bit different to the one I ordered but voltage is the same so hopefully will swap in ok. The current battery shows 6.1v on the tester. That's after the car has been sat all night. I might take pics as I put it back together to show how the...

    Alarm continually going off

That's great. Thanks for the info I've ordered one from https://www.buyabattery.co.uk/alarm-bell-box-battery-7-2v-7-2-volt-ni-mh-gp320bvh6a6.html as CellpackSolutions haven't got any in stock. My plan is to disconnect the main car 12v battery, strip out the boot and find the alarm, remove old...

    Alarm continually going off

Thanks Bounder. Nothing on the Cellpack Solutions website so i have emailed them. https://www.civinfo.com/threads/2006-alarm-siren-dismantled.59823/ details the repair/replacement of what i would ***ume is the same alarm unit, but unfortunately all the image links have broken so there is no...

    Alarm continually going off

The alarm on my 2007 accord 2.2 tourer keeps going off, and I can't stop it using the unlock-lock-unlock with the key. I had to start the car and drive off to a remote spot with the alarm going off. After about 15 mins driving the alarm stopped. I drove home, parked up and as soon as I opened...

    Pairing bluetooth phone

I've never managed to get any phone to pair with my accord, there are issues with the module or your phone might not be compatible. The list of compatible phones was short and phone tech has changed a lot since 2007

    Low voltage at power outlet

It worked fine from the power socket in the front of the car (kept the engine running while pumping), it was a bit awkward to do though so I'd like to get the one in the boot working properly.

    Low voltage at power outlet

Both... I tested using a multimeter with the engine on and engine off, using both the earth on the outlet and earned to the body (used the bootlid catch plate). I also tested the courtesy lamp alongside the outlet to make sure the earth was good, and that is showing 11.9v.

    Low voltage at power outlet

Hi all, My 2007 Accord Tourer is giving me a headache. Bought a mini compressor to blow up my paddleboard. Plugged it in to the power outlet in the boot and nothing worked. Thought it would be the fuse - nope, that seems fine. Checked for voltage at the plug (ie where the loom plugs into the...

    Air conditioning not working

Hi All, Air con on my 2007 Accord diesel estate isn't working. Bought it in the winter so it may not have been working since I got it. Thought it needed a re gas so got that done but it made no improvement, so started searching for more information and stumbled across this thread...
