Having had crank problems with my 04 Tourer about 2 years ago and having rebuilt the engine with a replacement crank, rods etc. the bl**dy thing has failed again. (Spun big end)
We have been using EXOL 0-30W oil changes at 6000 mile intervals and checked for level once a week.
We also have a Megane 1.9 DCTI which was running the same oil and wiped out its mains about 3 weeks ago.
I am not going to rebuild the Honda again and will consider breaking it as it is generally good, has sound lights, bumpers, VSA, tail gate motor, transmission.
It had new oil and timing chains and tensioners 15k miles ago so the motor should be worth something.
