Buying advice for a 2.2 CDTI 2004-2006 model, £2000

having a love of diesels is well and good but, a diesel more smooth or refined than a petrol, common even a 3 year old would know that a petrol will win. I hear diesels, taking out of parking lots and they are just a few years old, i am not beside them either. !

I don't care if the op gets a diesel, or petrol or a nuclear powered accord, at the end of the day the forum is about giving advice and the op has a load of advice i would imagine thus far.

I am totally biased but I would be very cautious of getting a diesel accord for 2k, i would imagine upwards of 3-4k would be needed for one in good condition that will not cause hardship.

the key thing to check (being sensible here) is to check, and double check the service history and see if all or most of the issues that plight the diesels have been look after or resolved (manifold issues so forth) also to check that bosch parts have been used, has the MOTs had any advisories, have they been looked after? common sense at the end of the day

no one will get killed, and we will live happily ever after.
