Just wondered if anyone could confirm that the Accord will still pass it's MOT after a remap and DPF delete has been carried out? Mine is showing the dreaded yellow dpf sign and I really don't know what to do. On one hand I could play safe and let Honda sort it, on the other I want the DPF gone but I also don't want a worthless lump of MOT failure on my hands come August.

Who has successfully re-MOTd their Accord after having the delete/map done, and did the testing station notice anything or make any comments?

Let's put it this way, I've been doing them for years and none of my customers have reported a single issue yet. Look for a thread by a member called Adamk he's an mot and taxi tester.

He actually posted before and after results proving the difference in emissions test is negligible if the job is done right.

Just search the threads and read through.

The bottom line is that if there is no visual evidence of something missing and the car is within its smoke and emissions tests, it will pass. The U.K. Emissions testing is nowhere near as sophisticated as the USA.

As Fahad says if there are no signs the dpf has been tampered with then it cannot fail. As a tester you have to give the benefit of doubt so unless it is obvious it has been removed it is a pass and advise. I don't think some people realise how rubbish the mot test is. Basically when I was on my initial training course to become a tester we were told to remember it has to be f*cked to fail .

Lol I hope that's not an official vosa terminology.

What I would say to you is that if your light is on please take immediate remedial action. Remove it or replace it.

I can confirm that mine at least passed its mot after fahads work a year ago
its due next week for the next mot.
ive no reason to think it will fail

also just like to say my car has run flawlessly since you did mine so thnx again mate

Thanks for the feedback mate, glad to hear you're enjoying the car.
