Accord Tourer 2.2
Hello! Honda new owner here - I've done quite a comprehensive search before posting, so please forgive me if this is covered somewhere...

Bought a 55 plate Accord Tourer Sport 2.2 diesel recently - 107,000 miles.

In 3 weeks since buying I've done ~700 miles with 2 instances where on higher than normal revs (3.5k to 4k) the glow plug indicator has started flashing, the car judders then EML comes on.

Starting and turning off the engine a few times clears it and it drives fine thereafter. No juddering on idle, starts first time from cold.

FAULT CODES -

5F0A - "unknown" on screen
5F10 - "unknown" on screen
P1384 - Fault on glow plugs

P0087 - Fuel rail pressure too low
P1065 - Fuel rail pressure lower than expected

Car had full service by local garage straight after I bought it - (Bluepoint?) fuel filter done which apparently is OEM?

Any help appreciated, as it's going into a more specialist garage soon who may well rip me off if I don't know my onions!

- Will any additives or sprays (such as BG244, Bardahl cleaners such as that for the EGR valve)

For clarity, I'm around the 3 spanner mark on Haynes manual jobs!

Probably fuel filter related from what I've seen on here.
Bosch OE or nothing seems to be the general consensus.

Almost certainly your fuel filter. If I had a penny for each time I've heard a garage say the non genuine fuel filter is the same as OEM.. Well I would have a lot of pennies.

Buy a genuine Honda fuel filter from the main dealer, use a competent mechanic to fit it and bleed it for air. Chances are problem solved

Hi guys - Just a note to say a big thank you for your help on this issue. Replaced the fuel filter with a Bosch one from the Honda dealers and no issues have arisen since.

The garage was originally at a loss to what it could be, and had referred me to a diesel fuel system specialist who would have charged ~£200 for diagnostics, so you've done me a real favour by helping me out!

Cheers and all the best

Top stuff!
