Honda Accord 7th Gen - VSA light no Codes

Hii,,

Hope I am posting in the correct section.

I have a 07 Reg Honda Accord, bought 2 months ago. love the car. About a week ago drove over a road hump (approx 5 - 10 mph) and the VSA light and the warning triangle /!\ came on, stopped the engine and restarted and still didnt go off. I have read in several places that the Brake light switch might be the cause. So tried changing it but still no luck..

Note - I do not feel anything different while driving, no noises while braking, accelaration is as usual.

I have a basic ODB scanner, plugged it in, no codes shown, I tried plugging a slightly advanced scanner still no codes.

Would anyone know the likely cause.

This sounds like you have the dreaded VSA 66.1 fault.
How many miles have you done?

You need to have it scanned with a Honda system. Where are you located?

or put a paper clip in obd port 4 connected to port 9

and count the flashes thats what i did.i think long flash is 10 short flash is 1

did you press the button accidentally when going over the bump?

I went over a bump on my FR-V and somehow pressed the VSA button. I felt like I touched it but only very slightly. I noticed the VSA light on in the dash and got really worried for a second.

I thought that at first but he said his vsa light and warning triangle came on.. Pressing the button will only activate the triangle. This is most likely an error of some sort
