As a newish Honda Accord owner I have been seaching the internet for a good active forum, and i seem to have found it!
Ive seen a few of posts mentioning the honda HDS. We have 2 diag machines at work but none of them go too deep into the ecu in terms of injector calibration, only coding. Ive seen HDS stuff on ebay, but Ive read a lot of stuff where people have bought them and they are chinese clones and they have dash problems and ECU problems because of connecting the machine up.
1st Does anyone know of any good software + hardware to do this, and 2nd when calibrating the injectors are there setttings you use or just use the number on the side of the injector. This is for a diesel by the way.

Welcome to the forum mate. I don't know about your questions, but I'm sure someone here can sort you out.

Yes, the cheap ebay are Chinese knock-offs. The don't have the hardware logic to maintain the timing of the bus and will timeout. This becomes and issue if you are mid-programming something and end-up bricking the ECU. Genuine 2nd hand HDS devices come up but expect to pay around £1,000.

Other readers such as Snap-On may have the correct functionality, but unless you have regular need for a HDS, the odd trip to a main dealer to do the programming is a better course of action.

For the injector calibration, each injector will have a calibration code marked on. This code just needs to be entered into the ECU to complete the control.

Hey guys,
Ive looked on our diagnostic software at work and found this menu.

Now I can code injectors with this diagnostic machine but not sure if any of the options above would calibrate them.
Another screen showed this data.

Am I to ***ume the injectors should be running as close to 0 as possible?
Anyone got an idea of the options? Cheers

Not familar with the software so not sure of the approach.

The number on the injector is generally code directly into the ECU as a register option.

From screen shot 2, that just seems to indicate the actual adjustment that's taking place (i.e. 0.3mg of fuel on injector 1) rather than the target goal. This is to be expected due to manufacturing difference in the injectors. It would be unusual for all 4 injectors to need zero adjustment for balacing.

One of the Admins knows about this stuff and also offers remaps. F6HAD, drop him a PM and he might be able to help

Yes you can use the IQA Write Data option to code the injectors (just write in the 6 digital alphanumeric sequence into each cylinder)

The second image is showing you the current duration, with deviation from target 0.

can anyone please help me..., my honda accord 2007 injector number 3 is leaking more than 10 percent.., i done back leak test.. now my question is can Honda Dealer re-calibrate injector without removing?? can i give it a try or i need to replace it or it needs to be taken off and only diesel injection specialist can recalibrate it..
and if anyone knows any good place near Cardiff... please help.. many thanks for your time..

Injector needs replacing and someone with the right tool needs to rewrite the injector codes
