Sorry if this has been posted else where but I couldn't find any problems that exactly matched what I'm experiencing. Twice after driving up a hill the car has then stall and refused to start. Both times the fuel light has come on a couple of days before, though I've only done a max of around 15miles with it on.
Is the fuel pickup at the front of the tank and so I'm sucking in air? This doesn't seem like it can be the problem as:
it would be a really bad design!
I wasn't going up a particulaly steep hill
There was still around 10 litres in the tank when I finally filled up
Both time I was able to get going again to the fuel station by squeezing the fuel priming bulb thingy a few time. It's not causing any warning lights to come on or put me into limp mode so I don't think it can be a problem with the fuel filter which I changed around 6000 miles ago anyway.
Anybody had a similar problem or know what it could be? thanks
