Hi, I've had my ictdi 2004 for about 5 years now, currently on 240,000. I have changed lots of normal wear and tear bits over the years.
Noticed the engine while running fine is perhaps feeling the high mileage, looking at making it a bit more responsive.
What could I change or do that could potentially make a difference to the engine, glow plugs? Decent air filter? Engine flush? Egr removal and clean?
I don't want an egr blank. Just looking for ideas or should I just leave it as it is.
I feel the acceleration is sluggish, seems to be running fine otherwise.
Thanks

All a good to do list. Not sure the glow plugs would help. When did you do the fuel filter last?

Change fuel filter once a year before MOT, so it's 6 months old.
Do glow plugs make a difference? Potentially been in there for a very long time. Probably thinking of cleaning the egr, reckon that's clogged up, I do drive quite pedestrian until the MOT.

I think that would be a good start. Do you use the bosch fuel filter?

Yes always Bosch. Oil and air filter cheap ones, change oil twice year.
Think firstly perhaps sort the egr and glow plugs.
