So we all know and have talked about how Epsilons deteriorate. Well I thought I'd upload a photo of what my wheels look like  . They leak about 4-5 PSI a month and I need to keep on top of them in that respect, very regular tyre pressure checks. Sadly don't have the spare cash to treat myself to a new set at present, and every time I do have the spare cash, something serious goes wrong on the car  .

Anyway, enjoy  (sorry for the poor picture quality, the sun wash shining fantastically when I took this):

Mine still look surprisingly good tbh. I know I'm in the minority!

i have the a different 5 spoke rims, I thought mine were bad but i think yours needs are greater than mine. Could set up a charity for you, save the rims! B)

 Cheers guys.

Obviously, there's some hectic kerbing here. Most of it was on the wheels when I bought the car, but coming from a car with 15" Steelies, it took me some getting used to so I did mash them up a little more. But worse is the terrible lacquer degradation. It was slight bubbling when I bought the car, but it's like the after the last jet wash, water dirty with brake dust has found its way under the cracks in the lacquer and just left them looking totally awful. Honestly, two months ago, they didn't look that bad, but they've just fallen off a cliff in the last two months. Hey ho. All the more reason to get them replaced (when I can finally afford to :( )

Feel free to start a Steve's Alloy Wheel Replacement Charity for me ;) .

They're probably the worst I've ever seen.. and a safety hazard too maybe mate if they're not holding pressure.. Why not DIY refurb them?

I don't have a tyre lever. And I don't have the space to work on the car :( . And I don't like Epsilons anyway, thing they're pretty dull looking. So the fact they're gubbed is the a good way to swing spending money new alloys with the Mrs ;) .

say to your mrs, new mot rules will not pass your car with those alloys on them, they are unsafe, you should be able to get a new set soon if she cares about your safety

On a serious note though, I was checking my tyre pressures earlier and there's a bump in the side wall. Does this mean straight away replacement?

Boooo :( . I thought as much. It's only small and I have no plans to go on long journeys for the next couple of weeks, so it can wait a couple of days. What a kick in the nuts though! ****** skint this month as well.

Been there. Bulge on a nearly new front Conti Sport Contact, then got a cut on the sidewall of the other front one, the rears were due for replacement so I ended up having to spring for four new tyres. Was skint so went, reluctantly, for GT Champiro HPX. Turned out to be a great tyre, slightly softer turn in than the Contis but an improvement in all other respects - quiter, less tramlining etc. Only done about 3k on them so don't know what durability will be like. Got them off Blackcircles.
