Hi,

I'm just wondering if anyone else has had an issue whereby accelerating in hard in 6th gear appears to cause the clutch to slip.
However, it doesn't appear to happen in other gears. It also seems to be more prominent when the car is loaded.
I had a new clutch 2 years and the car has not done many miles since then. Most of the driving is on the motorway as well.
Any ideas?

Many thanks

Yep clutch slip always starts from the highest gear.

how many miles since fitting was a clutch aligment tool used or was it bolt and hope for the best ?

Hi,

I found out that the clutch had not been adjusted properly, they didn't realise that there was adjustment on the pedal end as well? Anyway I'm now another 10 months down the line and the problem seems to have re-appeared. The garage seem to be bemused, I'm beginning to wonder if I have a special car??

Bemusement is often used to throw you off the fact that they have already realised they probably fs*cked up. Try approach this not from a warranty angle, but a please fix this with a discount angle.
