Hi all.. I'm after a little info on diagnosing my VSA light.
Firstly the background.....
2005 2.2 CDTI Accord
VSA light and triangle permenatly on
ABS light NOT on
112,000ish miles
No warranty
I've done quite a bit of looking on here and understand that there is a big problem with the VSA modules on these era diesel accords.
The light simply came on one day last December and never went off.
After looking on here I didn't worry too much as the VSA is a good thing but not essential.
I've just read earlier tho that it will now be considered an MOT failure and as mine is due in April I've had to rethink my 'ignore it' mentality.
Firstly I still need to do the basics such as check fuses etc but I don't currently have my manual with me so I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on fuse locations etc for me?
Secondly I need to get the actual problem/code confirmed as I might be lucky and avoid the 66-1 (fingers crossed)
Normally this would be a trip to local garage but from what I've read it needs to be a dealer or at least an independent with HDS diagnosing tools...
I know my local garage can't 'deep diagnose' Honda faults as my friend had a civic in last week with a power steering problem and they could only give him a generic code.
Now as Honda will be looking £60+ for simply plugging in I was thinking about buying a tool myself.
Problem is there are lots to choose from and I'm not 100% sure which to get. I know CJ has the kit already so I'm hoping he'll see this and help..?
ATM I'm looking at

And

Does anyone know which I should be looking at?
I'll keep you all posted on how things go.
Thanks
