What other cars have people got/had

Well because of my age if I listed the motors I'v owned it would include cars that most of the members on here never heard of.
But the most exotic one was also without doubt the shortest I'v owned one.
In the mid sixties I bumped into a wheeler dealer friend in a coffee bar, he had a DB4 Aston Martin (wire wheels & wood steering wheel) parked outside and explained he was selling it on behalf of a widow who had inherited it. After a quick look round and him agreeing that I could pay for it at the end of the week off I drove. After half an hour of cruising east London streets looking for people to impress I returned to the coffee bar and threw the keys at my mate saying " you can keep that, I put a quids worth of juice in it and it's gone already .! "

Edit - For you younger guys that's = £ 1 at 25p a gallon.

A friend of mine used to have a CRX SiR back in the day too. Cracking little thing.

Love the descriptions of these!

Had a fair few cars in 12 years of driving, mostly dogs apart from the last 2!

1995 Ford escort 1.4 (****e, clutch went so got rid after about 4 months)
1995 Peugeot 205 1.1 style! (made it into a gti rep and on reflection one of the best cars ive owned, 4speed gave it absolute death everywhere would do 75mph in 2nd! Gave the car to my dad as needed something more motorway suitable)
1996 VW golf hatch 1.4 (fairly unreliable and problems with the fuel pump constantly)
1995 Ford Mondeo 2.0 Diesel (golf did my head in so got rid quick and needed a replacement, was ****e but gave it death everywhere, and would pull off in 6th if you needed to!)
2000 Ford Focus 1.8 (loved it 1st semi decent car owned, made it into a ST rep, shouldn't have sold but needed a more economical car.)
1993 Peugeot 205 1.6 gti (brought as a project, caged, bucket seats etc, driven it twice and its still in the garage, but is still mine and will see the light of day at some point)
2003 Peugeot 206 2.0hdi (gti replica was a nice car but being French needed constant work)
2001 Peugoet 306 1.9 dturbo S (always wanted one and was going cheap so filled a gap)
1998 Peugeot 306 2.0xs (brought as spares for my 306 and then broke for parts as had some nice bits on it)
2006 Honda Accord 2.2 cdti ( proper step up from anything owned previous, started doing 20K miles a year so need something decent, loved the car but had to go after 5 years as was feeling tired and I fancied a change)
64 Skoda Octavia vrs estate (hands down best car ive owned or driven, don't really understand why you need anything with more power, and I can take the dog everywhere with me :) )

My first car was a 1996 Fiat Punto Sporting.

Then I bought my 1st Prelude, but it only last 3 days as someone pulled out on me.

Nery nice. Love the SiR wagon in particular.

Hahaha. Had a go in a friend's one a fair few years back.
Effortless pace without you realising it took a little getting used to.
Great car when the gremlins weren't popping up

Yeah... the supercharger is awesome, crazy fast.

Maintenance and electrical gremlins are not too bad. There were some issues when I first bought the car but I have sorted them (the internet is a powerful tool lol). Now I just fill up and drive.

In relative order I think...

2005 Vauxhall Vectra LS 1.8 petrol Estate
2003 MGTF 1.8. (Horror story)

1st car was a fiesta mk6, then mk1 mx5, mk1 Mitsubishi colt, golf mk5 gttdi, Renault Megane gt 150, Honda Civic type r ep3, then the accord. Been driving 2 years

The two CR500 supermoto's I've ridden had to go back to their owners within minutes. Reckon they both must've had such bad crank/piston setups because they vibed so hard my knuckles hurt.
The ones I've ridden on the dirt made far better sense.

Series 2 109" is about as proper as a landrover gets in my opinion. In grey, with a truck cab, mmmmmm.
Just like in my Britain's farm sets as a kid.

Yeah it vibed and hurt , fortunatley it was the revised kick start with the easier to boot setup . But you didnt want to be going very far thats for sure . The landy ...ahh ..two days welding the chassis and it passed its mot ...had had an engine swap ...had a yorkie in it ...christ it was slow haha

Between that CR500, a 570 Husky, and a 625 Ktm (supercomp i ***ume) im almost starting to believe the Toothless bit.

Yeah it was the supercomp , with rudimentary lights that glowed with a gentle hue and mountain bike speedo that gave intermittent guesses to your speed and went totally blank above 40mph and vibes so bad it blurred vision and made you sneeze ...but ...all was forgiven on a damp cold winters morning round the corners and roundabouts of west london ..while the sportsbikes wobbled and tentativly made there way around, the KTM was full throttle exiting all crossed up sideways with a grinning idiot aboard .

94 Land Rover Discovery 300TDI
98 Land Rover discovery 300TDI
2001 Land Rover Discovery TD5
1988 Range Rover classic Hybrid 3.5 EFI V8 (shortened chassis - series 3 body - 2 inch lift - 33 inch tyres amongst other things)
1998 Renault Clio auto
1988 Land Rover 90 (retrofitted 300 TDI engine)
1984 Ford Capri Laser 1.8? (Can't remember but sure it was called "2 litre")

The 1988 landrover ...didnt happen to be roof hatch entry , fuel in a stainless tank in the short pickup bit ...bucket seats 5 points and cage ...and was painted BP green ....reg mark escapes me , it was my brothers and i know a yorkshire fella bought it from him .

2002 Citroen Saxo 1.1 (Crap, but easy to chuck about. Engine needed replaced at 45k )
2002 Ford Mondeo tdci ghia estate auto (Too many issues to list, ended up scrapping due to injector problems - engine would randomly cut out above 60)
2008 Honda Accord Tourer cdti exec (2 years and coming up to 40k and all that's gone wrong is a seized rear caliper and blown boot struts. Best car yet. Two MOTs with no advisories is a record for me!)

Go honda go

My chequered past:
VW Polo - A wonderful 1984 model complete with vinyl roof. My first car when I was 17, would've been Feb '96 I think.
Sierra - mates dad died, I gave him a few quid for it :)
Honda Concerto - Uni car, 1.6 with twin carbs, not sure what previous owner had done but it was pretty quick. Had something like 180k when it started showing signs of abuse :D
Rover 620 SLi - Coz I couldn't afford an Accord
Range of new Mercs as company cars. Didn't like any of them, but I worked for Merc so no choice :(
318is - Had loads of fun in this one, regret swapping it for...
...Mitsubishi Shogun 3.5 V6 - Coz I fancied one, didn't keep it long
Vans - Used works vans for a while
Alfa 156 - Got nicked by Leroy, a drug dealer in Liverpool (no joke), was recovered during a police raid. Was never the same and Alfa dealers are the worst ever.
Renault Laguna - Seriously, did 80k in three years without a blip, I bought it nearly new for 10k (20k list), ran it for work and picked up £500 a month for opting out of the company car scheme B)
Honda Accord tourer - v1
Honda Accord tourer - v2

The Mrs came with a Corsa, it was dreadful
Then got her a new i10, was a great little car, now has a new A3.
I own quite a few vans through my company so I use them.

Seriously thinking of getting a Legend to add to the garage.
