Just want to get some opinions on what you'd do in this situation... I've managed to find a little gem in the form of a diesel Accord exec with only 40k miles and a full Honda service history. The VSA module has been replaced and all the history has been verified by the dealer. The car is in mint condition inside but the paint on the outside (red) is fading. All this and it's a 2005 model.
The downside.... It's out of warranty which will mean I'd have to pay up for the chain or manifold issue if it came up. The honda dealer has said the manifold would be going if not gone by now if it was going to and even if it does, the manifold isn't a major expense to buy.
The chain doesn't appear to be noisy or rattling and with a full history and correct oil it should not cause any issue for a long time. I was talking to Honda here in Ireland and the service agent told me the same.
Any thoughts or opinions on what I should do?
