Time for a regas I think

£40 is a good price, proof it can good to hesitate! Silly not to at that.

Time for a regas I think

Yep, definitely worth spending the extra and have it done properly. If your Honda dealer knows what they are doing then yes, why not take it there. If not a good aircon specialist can do it, no reason why not.

Time for a regas I think

If you want it done properly take it to Aircon specialist. They will remove the gas, weigh it, vacuum test your system and then refill with the correct weight of gas for your car. If the vacuum test reveals a leak they'll put a dye in and ask you to come back after a few days to find the source...

    Car in the garage tomorrow

Yes you are right, and what you describe points at the mic being faulty. Mine went just the same way, though was intermittent for a while. A new mic insert from ebay was around £3.50 and easy to replace. I'm sure the dealer will replace the unit the mic is on at much more expense than that...

    Light bulbs blowing constantly

Regarding the bulb failure, it's only one side that keep blowing. There should be a clue there.

    Light bulbs blowing constantly

Fault finding blowing bulbs can be hard. As it's only the drivers side though which is blowing you could try swapping the bulb from the passenger side and see if it lasts, and see if the the brand you buy fails early on the passenger side? Also, thoroughly check the connections to the drivers...

    direct replacement sat-nav head unit?

Thanks Rob for signing up and answering my questions, I unreservedly take it back, its a great attitude you have to come here and reply, much appreciated. I think its a good bit of kit for the 03 to 05 cars, but for us with 06/07 already with touch screen we are losing a bit of functionality...

    direct replacement sat-nav head unit?

A few more comments having looked up a bit more. Generally I try to avoid eBay sellers who have more paragraphs setting out their terms and conditions than they do about the item, this one seems to fall into that category. I'm not so sure I like his attitude! Back to the item. Is the TV tuner...

    direct replacement sat-nav head unit?

A few comments and questions. As good as it looks I'd want to see one and examine the build quality, I'd like to be optimistic but suspect it's poor. What kind of service can be expected after the initial 12 month warranty? Built and developed in China doesn't inspire me with confidence, and...

    Sat Nav/AC/Info system

It does sound like the unit is faulty, but a volt meter on the power 'IN' is need to diagnose fore sure, (has no one done this yet?). If it is the unit It should cope fine with any power interruption like when turning the engine on. Apart from getting it fixed there are two 'user' mods you...

    EGR blanking

There isn't an emissions test for the diesel MoT, just the smoke test, and this won't effect that.

    Low power at low revs

Too true. I usually take everything apart to see how it works! I had the P2004 DTC code which was due to the IMRC solenoid. Honda acknowledged the original design was in error and produced an improved part, for £105. I had to get it, but afterwards took the old one apart to see why it might have...

    EGR blanking

On our cars the ECU calculates the EGR position, ie percentage open compared with the requested EGR% Blanking off completely isn't an option unless you can re write the software to map out EGR. I've read you can partially blank, but don't know any more about that.

    Low power at low revs

I concur, these filters are extremely easy to replace. I've done mine, remove it from the solenoid, pop the top off and replace the filthy filter! (They were absolutely black and clogged). They use the same material that the air filter is made from, I had an old one lying around in the garage...

    Low power at low revs

No, it isn't and never has been a fuel! WD40 is primarily a water repellent and corrosion inhibitor, though as we all know it's invaluable for 1000s of uses, though I think it often gets used where it does more harm than good.

    Low power at low revs

You seem to know what you are talking about and know your way around the engine, so why not invest in some OBD diagnostics? If you already have a laptop outlay will be minimal. Your symptoms seem quite severe so chances are you'd be able see what was going wrong. With something like Palmer...

Playing mp3 cd's in a standard head unit?

It may depend on which version Satnav disc you have loaded, when I had HMIManager disassembled from v3.40 there was a lot of code relating to mp3 files, but as I was working on something else I didn't pay too much attention to them. Not saying for sure, but it might be interesting to see which...

    HFT problems

Good guide, I replaced the mic on my car, I'd get intermittent errors from the stanav not understanding me, or going to a different instruction. I got a mic insert from ebay for about £3 fitted it and the voice control has been fine since. I'd recommend anyone who is getting voice control errors...
