I would be a bit careful with that first sentence if I were you. You should perhaps do some homework (such as reading all the diesel fault threads on here first) before blindly ***uming that the diesel accord is the only reliable car on the road. :)

You have to lay down in footwell and look above brake pedal. There should be a switch which is supposed to push against the top of said pedal which also has spring pressure so that as the pedal is pushed down the spring switch disconnects the cruise control. In my case the switch wasn't pushing...

I am running at 27.5 at the mo as well but I think it will go up more if I took it for a long steady run. I suspect that this is probably a realistic day to day figure!
