Accord 7th Gen ESM - anyone got a link?

Hey folks, Does anyone have a link to the zipped version of the 7th Gen ESM? I have a copy, but it's extracted and on an old laptop, so zipping the files back together is going to take an age... I've sold the car now to a mate, but he could do with a copy of the ESM for himself!! Cheers, Matt

Fitting roof rails on a pre face lift Estate

I accidentally purchased facelift roof rails for my pre-facelift estate.... I simply cut off approx 1" from the middle section on each side and they fit fine. A wee piece of black electrical tape covering the cut sections and all is well with the world. Have been used quite a lot since...

    Viewing a CU2

I think that used to be Bristol Motor Company? If so, yes! :) we bought my wife's CRV from them in 2016. Perfectly happy with the purchase, very happy with the aftersales when we discovered the DMF was on the way out two days later. no quibbles at all. Can't remember the guys name, but...

    Scam?

I agree with Cliff above - the car could have been bought pre-registered on a 3 year lease/pcp style deal by the first owner and popped onto their private plate. They've only covered a small distance in the first 3 years, therefore didn't bother with a service until the first mot, at which...

    Indicators - Lane Changing/3 flash

My wife's 2007 CRV has a 3 flash/lane changing option on the indicators - gentle push and you'll get 3 flashes. My 2004 Accord does not... Question - Would simply retrofitting a CRV (or later accord?) indicator stalk add this functionality to my car, or would this need additional...

    Rear seats estate and saloon

The tourer rear seats have a fancy folding mechanism built in so that when you lower the seat back, the base flips up/forward, giving you a flat load space... they also have the cargo nets built into the rear seat backs which the saloon version won't... Likewise the saloon seatback will get...

    MP3 player aux connection

Just to add an update to my in car entertainment situation.... Having now moved to a phone without a headphone socket, and using Apple Music instead of proper mp3's, I was finding the USB option very limiting, so I invested in this...

    New (to me!) wheels!

Aye, I fitted some very sticky tyres today!! Damn photobucket... I'll get the picture rotated correctly shortly. The wheels have highlighted that I need to tart up my calipers now though....

    New (to me!) wheels!

Tyres/wheels fitted today. I'm very happy :) Just a quick picture so far due to the weather. I'll try to get another next week once it's been to a local bodyshop to get the scuff on the rear door blended in. I decided on gunmetal after seeing the anthracite wheels in the flesh. GM just...

    New (to me!) wheels!

Hey folks, just showing off my shiny new wheels. Bought these off Goodluckmonkey late last year with the intention of spending the winter happy in the garage sanding/painting them all back to a decent standard ready for fitting in the Spring. Sadly work and family life decided to ensure...

    Terrible Fuel Economy (Petrol) MPG

Check your brakes aren't sticking! :) I managed to increase my mpg greatly just by changing the rear calipers....

Wet floor in rear passengers seat

I had this at both sides in the rear. The waterproof membrane/skin that's behind the door card, but stuck to the door panel had come loose at the bottom and started to direct water to come out in a trickle just behind the door card. The water would then find the carpet and fall into the...

What other cars have people got/had

I completely agree, same principle applies to bikes as well! Something slightly perverse about thrashing an engine to the redline but still only just doing 70... That civic is incidentally also the only car I've been stopped for speeding in.... It would also break into liftoff...

What other cars have people got/had

My car history in order...: VW Golf 1.6 CL (Mk2) (inherited from my grandfather) Nissan 200SX (S13) (The one I'd have back in a heartbeat. Even though it overheated, blew the turbo and was full of rust... Loved every second of it) Ford Mondeo ST24 (2.5V6, K&N cone filter - amazing...

2.0 manual petrol miles to tank.

Also check that your brakes aren't binding... I regularly used to get 320-350 miles out of a full tank on mine until I replaced the rear calipers. Next long run instantly got me up to 410 miles on a full tank.

    Diagnosing Aircon Problems

Ok, it's only taken 2 months, but my air con is finally working again! Got a new condensor off ebay from a French seller - roughly £65 delivered which seemed good... took me about 6 weeks to get around to actually fitting it, which was a simple enough affair to be honest. Hardest bit is...

    MP3 player aux connection

I've been using it fine with a 16Gb and 32Gb sticks. Main limitation appears to be that it can only read 100 folders (root + 99 additional). Not sure how many files can be in each folder... To be fair though, that's still a lot of music to get through!! :)
